1. Speed Test



With the SuperTVs integrated Speed test feature, one can check the accurate speed of an internet connection without installing any 3rd party applications. Besides showing the average Internet speed, it also recommends a resolution to watch online videos.
You can perform the Speed test by going to Settings> Network> Speed Test.

2. Simplelist View

 

Confused with the LIVE menu? Simply switch over to Simplelist view which allows you to view a list of channels instead of a grid view on the LIVE screen setting. You can change the grid view to Simplelist view by following these steps: LIVE> Hover to top right> Simplelist.

3. Favourites

 

Want to create a list of your favourite channels? Add them to Favourites for easy and quick access by following these simple steps…
LIVE> Open a Channel> Click menu on Remote> Add to Favourites.

4. Watch history

 

Want to access the channels that you watched last week? The Watch history feature allows you to find the channels that you watched recently or watch frequently. Simply follow the following steps: LIVE> Watch history (Top Left Corner).

5. Parent lock

 

If privacy is your main concern, then you can lock your TV from switching on or lock any specific app by setting a pin code by using the Parent lock feature. This feature is handy as you can control what your children watch and protect them from content that is unsuitable for them.

You can also add an email address to recover your pin in case you forget it. To access the Parent lock feature please go to TV Manager> Parent lock.

6. TV Manager

 

Quite often we install apps from the Play Store and these apps continue to run in the background and slow down the user interface. So with the in-built TV Manager feature you can optimize and boost the performance of your SuperTV with a single click.

This feature helps you to optimize your TV system effectively by ending unnecessary processes and clearing the cache data generated in the process. To optimize your SuperTV go to TV Manager> Run Checkup.

7. Offline EUI update

 

What if you do not have an internet connection at home, but you still want to upgrade your EUI to get the latest features and optimizations? In this tricky scenario, you can use our Offline update method to upgrade your EUI on your SuperTV. Follow the steps below to begin the offline update.

• Download the TV update package to a PC from the link given on our LeMeIndia forum EUI page - http://forum.le.com/in/eui_list.html
• Copy the update package to an external USB drive
• Use TV Remote Right navigation key to Move to App Desktop
• Tap on System update
• Tap on Offline update
• Select the update file to download

8. Default TV desktop

 

If you want to change your default desktop screen to the input or app screens instead of the LIVE default screen when the TV starts or boots up, you can change it with the Manager page settings by heading over to Settings> System> Desktop.

9. Schedule Power Off

 

This is a very handy feature if you want to schedule your TV timings especially when you want to limit or restrict your children from watching TV beyond a certain time. You can automatically shut down your TV at a specific time by using the Schedule power off feature by visiting Settings> System> General> Power.

10. Bluetooth Connectivity

 

Want to watch your TV programmes without disturbing people around you? Connect your LeEco Bluetooth headset by following these steps - Settings> System> Accessories> Bluetooth.

Screen Overlay Resolution

1) Open “Play Store” and Download “Quickshortcut Maker App”.

2) Now open QuichShortCutMaker App and search DRAW OVER APPS.

3) Result will show you Setting Icon ,Click on it

4) Drop Down will give two setting icon and click on any one of the two setting and make shortcut

5) It will create a shortcut icon for the setting Click and Open it

6) As you can see it will display all the apps which requires or needs Screen Overlay Permission.

7) Now enable or disable as per your app requirement

How to use Cast & Wireless Display (Miracast)

Cast: To cast any video/image/audio from mobile phone to TV

Steps

1. Once you have switched your SuperTV, go to App->Settings -> System -> General -> Safety

2. Switch on the MultiScreen option inside Safety.



3. Then play any video/image/audio on your smart phone and activate the cast feature of your mobile phone.

4. It will show the LeTV model name inside the search list of Cast features. Click on that model name then that particular video/audio/image will be mirrored on your TV screen.







Note

We have attached the screen shots of Sony Xperia ZR (Cast feature name: Throw). Similarly, many other brands of mobile phones also have the cast feature, but the name of the cast feature will be different, for example – Le 2 will have Cast feature name: Cast, so please identify the feature on the phone properly before you start casting.

Wireless Display (Miracast) To mirror from mobile phone to TV

Steps

1) Switch on the WIFI of your mobile phone.

2) Activate the Wireless Display feature of both the devices at the same time.

3) To activate the feature on your LeEco SuperTV

• Go to App -> Settings -> System -> Network -> Wireless Display
• Click on Start button of Wireless display.



4) At the same time, activate feature of Mobile phone by -

 • Going to Settings -> Wireless & Networks ->More
 • Switching on the Wireless display feature inside more.



Note

Recommended Solution To Resolve Notification problem in EUI 5.8 Marshmallow

Kindly do these necessary things to resolve the problem

1. Phone manager -> Power saving management->App protection->Disable auto cleaning for WhatsApp

2. Settings -> Battery -> Align wakeup->disable all

3. Settings -> Permission -> You have allowed x apps to auto launch->enable WhatsApp

4. Settings -> Notification management -> WhatsApp->enable all

5. Phone manager>Power saving management>App battery usage alert>Never alert > whatsapp should be never alert

7. Make Sure the Apps are locked in Recent Apps. Lock means the app won’t be killed by system.

8. Third-party power management apps such as DU Battery Saver, Greenify, Battery Extender, CM Security, Battery Saver, Go Battery, Doze etc. restrict background data and thus result in delayed notification and errors

(Native apps are always recommend for phones best performance)

9. If still cannot receive the push message, please check whether Battery assistant is enabled. Battery assistant will restrict backgroud data and only suggest to enable when battery is low.

WhatsApp User Interface:
WhatsApp UI is quite simple. On the top of opening screen, there is a search button, Message/Call/Contact button and Menu button.

Just below them,
All Conversations/Groups are listed under CHATS tab. A simple click on them will open specific conversation.
All Calls that were dialed/received are listed under CALLS tab.
All Contacts that are using WhatsApp are listed under CONTACTS tab.

6. Last Seen Status: This is also a awesome feature that lets you know when other person was online.
7. Change the Wallpapers that appear when you are in a conversation. WhatsApp Wallpaper is the app for changing it.

10. Detailed message info in a Group. Just long press to select a conversation and press info button at top. This will let you know if group members received the message or not.11. Detailed Group information such as Group Name, Group Media, Mute option, Custom Notifications & Optional Encryption status. Group members can edit the group Name, change the Group Photo. Only Group Admin can add members to the group. You can also make other person as Admin. You can exit the group anytime or keep it in mute if notifications are irritating you.

1. Access your favourite messages from Menu->Starred Messages. As said earlier, you can long press a message and star it.
2. You can search within a group or conversation. Just open a group/conversation and go to Menu->Search
3. You can e-mail/clear chat of a group or conversation. Just open it and go to Menu->More->Email Chat/Clear Chat.
4. You can block a person by opening his conversation, then go to Menu->More->Block. You can also Add shortcut on home screen there.
5. You can use WhatsApp on chrome by visiting web.whatsapp.com. On mobile, you need to go to Menu->WhatsApp Web and scan QR code

WhatsApp Settings:

Just Open WhatsApp and go to Menu->Settings. You can find the following settings:

1. Account Settings: You can Change your mobile number here. You can delete everything using "Delete my account" option here.

1. Under Privacy option, you can control who sees your Last seen, Profile photo, Status and Read receipts. You can also unblock the contacts that were previously blocked. This is one of the most important setting in WhatsApp that can change your life!

2. Chats settings: Menu->Settings->Chats

1. You can change the App Language, Wallpaper and Font size settings here
2. Chat backup: This is also one of the important option. It will let you create local storage backup or Google drive backup.
3. Under Chat history, you can Delete/E-mail/Clear/Archive all chats.

3. Notification Settings: Menu->Settings->Notifications

1. You can set Notification tone, vibration and Notification light colour settings here. I don't think Notification colour setting will work on Le phones.
2. You can set an interesting Popup notification setting here. This will popup a small window whenever you receive a message & you can quickly reply.
3. Similar settings for Group and Call notifications.

4. Data Usage Settings: Menu->Settings->Data Usage

1. Network Usage: This is one of the interesting option. It will show how many messages sent/received along with data.
2. You can set Media Auto-download settings with Mobile data/Wi-Fi and Roaming
3. Call Settings: This is one of the interesting setting in WhatsApp. You can reduce the data usage on WhatsApp call.

5. Contacts, About and Help: You can check WhatsApp version there, read FAQ, Terms, Privacy policy. You can use Contact us to reach developers. You can enable hidden contacts from Menu->Settings->Contacts->Show All Contacts.

[UPDATE 2] Recently, WhatsApp has updated their Privacy policy. You may get a notification like the one below while using it. Please do not accept it. If you have pressedaccept already, you still have 30 days to go to Account settings and opt out of new privacy policy.
